" Power-voice Akira Kamiya does strong "hero" voices almost across the board, although of varying quality- big brother-type Roy Fokker from Macross, City Hunter's smoothie Ryo Seaba, Fist of the North Star's square jawed superhuman Kenshiro. Also has a knack for rich boys, such as Mendo in Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku's Mitaka, and a parallel role in live action- the smooth talkin' title character of Remington Steele, one of many live-action roles he's played. Overdubs Mel Gibson, William Kit, and others in Japanese, often in such TV hits as Greatest American Hero and The Dukes of Hazzard. Something of a more mature leading man, the kind who's grown up enough to be dashing, daring and interested in girls (really interested, in the case of City Hunter's Ryo Saeba). Yodels in Fraggle Rock (no, really!)."

The preceeding was taken from Vox Populi from Animerica's Volume 5, issue 11, Sound Bite Special 'The Sound and the Fury', Volume 5, issue 12 & Volume 6, issue 1.
